This is a quick webpage created to show the transformation of an Amiga 1200 from its basic set up, as sold in 1994, to a more modern machine able to use broadband, pci cards, 3D graphics cards, all in a pc tower which I have heavily modified.
The project has taken more or less 6 months, and a bit of money, but it has been huge fun completing what is now a unique and fast AMIGA 1200.
This is a standard Amiga 1200 from 1994 and, as many of you Amigans know, the specs are:
CPU: Motorola 68020 14.7 Mhz, 2Mb of Memory, AGA chipset and Amiga OS 3.0.
Amiga dominated the computer world between 1985 and 1994 (and according to many it still does) thanks to its excellent multitasking Operating System, games, graphics, sound and incredible user base and developers.
Today those specs are pretty low so let's see what we can do to speed it up a bit and make the A1200 look...different!
